A pregnant tribal woman was transported in a doli to three hospitals in Andhra Pradesh

Sukuru Lakshmi, 20, was transported in a doli for four kilometers as she gave birth on Sunday from Rachakilam village to Gummanti in the Alluri Sitarama Raju district due to the absence of a motorable road.

She was taken by ambulance from Gummanti to Pinnakota hospital. But, because it was a Sunday, the doctor at Pinnakota was unavailable, therefore she had to be transferred to Kotapadu Area Hospital in the Anakapalle District.
