A driver in Brownsover accelerated his car and drove straight at a woman, prompting police to ask for witnesses.

As a woman in her 30s exited the store in Helvellyn Way and started to cross the street, a car that had first stopped to let her pass accelerated and made an attempt to drive right up to her.Although she managed to leap out of the path and avoided getting hurt, the incident is being treated as an attempted assault.
Police are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of the intersection of Helvellyn Way and Hollowell Way to come forward as investigations are still ongoing.Anyone who saw the driver or has information about the incident should contact Warwickshire Police, quoting incident 331 of January 26.
