After a drone attack that left one US contractor dead and five US military members injured, US airstrikes in eastern Syria killed eight pro-Iran fighters, a war monitor reported on Friday.
Six pro-Iran fighters were killed by US strikes on a weapons depot in Deir Ezzor city, and two more were killed by strikes on the Mayadine desert and areas close to al-Boukamal, according to Rami Abdel Rahman, the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a British-based watchdog with a vast network of sources on the ground in the war-torn nation.
