As Ukraine purportedly blasts the Belgorod region, a Russian fighter plane crashes into a Siberian home.

The two pilots were killed after a Russian fighter plane collided with a Siberian house on Sunday as Ukraine, according to Russian officials, was purportedly shelling the Belgorod region.

The Su-30 aircraft crashed into a two-story, two-family home in the city of Irkutsk during a test flight, according to Irkutsk governor Igor Kobzev in a message on Telegram.

The cause of the crash, which resulted in a fire and power outages in the region, is the subject of a criminal inquiry, according to Kobzev. He continued by saying that the house had five occupants and that none of them were hurt.

“I send my heartfelt condolences to the pilots’ families and friends. It is a terrible disaster. When professionals pass away, it hurts “explained Kobzev.
