Bolsonaro claims the election for the Supreme Court in Brazil “is over”

Two days after the far-right incumbent narrowly lost the election to the leftist Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the administration of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro indicated a willingness to cede power despite rumors the far-right candidate could challenge the outcome.

According to reports, Bolsonaro informed the members of the Brazilian Supreme Court on Tuesday that his electoral campaign against da Silva was over. I have always played inside the four lines of the constitution, he declared earlier in a brief statement at the presidential palace, though he stopped short of admitting it.
