Monmouth has performed admirably on the road this year, winning at top-ranked Villanova and almost missing out on New Hampshire, which is currently leading the Colonial Athletic Association.
The Hawks’ debut season in the league was expected to be one of their toughest tests, and today’s test will be another one away from home as they play Maine at Alfond Stadium in Orono, Maine.
As it strives to stay competitive in the standings and the fight for a berth in the FCS Playoffs, Monmouth (4-2, 2-1) is going for its fifth straight victory, while Maine (1-4, 1-1) is going for its second straight victory.
