Following the fatal shootings of THREE youngsters in Florida, police are concerned about a triple killer

Police discovered three 16-year-olds in Ocklawaha, Florida, which is 60 miles northwest of Orlando.

The first victim, 16-year-old Layla Silvernail, was found alive and suffering from a head wound on Thursday night; her life support system is now being turned off.

Florida police are looking for a potential triple murder suspect after three teenagers were discovered dead or dying beside a road north of Orlando. The 17-year-old boy was discovered hours later a few miles down the road, and the second teenage girl was discovered in Silvernail’s submerged car on Saturday.

A 60-mile drive northwest of Orlando, the two 16-year-old girls and a 17-year-old male were seen in the area of Ocklawaha. A second victim, a 17-year-old male who has not been identified, was discovered dead on the side of the road less than a mile away on Friday.

Another 16-year-old girl who was the third victim was discovered shot to death on Saturday inside Silvernail’s car, which was partially drowned in a lake.

Layla Silvernail, 16, was discovered alive in a garbage on Thursday after being shot in the head. Police have since discovered two additional adolescent victims, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, who they suspect may be connected to her death. She had previously passed away. In Marion County, Florida, this trashcan contained a live Silvernail.

Sheriff Billy Woods declared in a video statement shared to Facebook that his staff was looking into the connections between the three people.

He also warned against giving credence to the rumors circulating – noting that reports of a fourth victim were untrue.

“I know this is a very close-knit community and many of you are very concerned,” he said.

“Someone out there knows something. We want you to have truthful information, not rumors.”

Silvernail was described by her friends and relatives as a talented softball player

Silvernail was described by her friends and relatives as a talented softball player.

Silvernail’s family decided to donate her organs “so she can help others in the wake of this tragedy,” the girls’ softball league wrote on the donation page.

“She is the definition of a team player and a great athlete,” they said.

“She loved the game of softball, was a great shooter and could play any position her team needed. She cheered up all her teammates!

“She was taken from us too soon and will be greatly missed.”
