In the following locations, you can discover the reddish-brown mass of branches known as hardwood under trees:
Forest of Valor Glade of Trust
Bright Plateau
Iced Heights
Unknown Lands
As the first two are easier to uncover and contain less other varieties of wood than the third, you are more likely to locate Hardwood there first.
Randomly, hardwood will appear under trees, and you can return to these locations to find more.
