The National Policy for National Survey of Autism Spectrum Disorder is a part of the health sector-coordinated organization and legalization of services provided to families of individuals with growth and behavioral issues.
The king’s endorsement of SHC decisions “embodies [the] interest in the health sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and harnessing capabilities to increase the level and quality of health services,” according to Dr. Nahar bin al-Azemi, the SHC’s secretary general.
According to Al-Azemi, this national policy intends to establish structured methods to identify autism spectrum disorders in first healthcare in the earliest stages and treat these patients through a national survey while promoting health awareness.
He also said that the health sector would implement this approach gradually.
By the end of 2022, the Kingdom’s National Strategy for National Survey of Autism Spectrum Disorder will be implemented, according to SPA.
