The Los Angeles Angels today revealed the advertisement patch they’ll be wearing on their jersey sleeve in 2023.
The company’s logo has been (mostly) recoloured to better match the Angels jersey it’ll be worn on. The patch shows FBM in white (or cream for the City Connect) serifed lettering on a navy blue rectangle, a green and brown tree to the left, and the company name FOUNDATION BUILDING MATERIALS below. FBM is, according to its Facebook page, “a leading supplier of quality building materials and construction products.”
Prior to the 2023 season, the Angels wore a team patch on each sleeve – one showing the Angels’ primary logo of a red haloed “A”, and the other showing that same logo placed within a roundel with “ANGELS BASEBALL” arched around. The team will be removing the “ANGELS BASEBALL” patch in order to make room for this new advertisement.
The Angels join the Padres (Motorola), Red Sox (MassMutual), and Diamondbacks (Avnet) as clubs to officially unveil their jersey advertisement for 2023. Sports Business Journal has reported their sources are saying the Cincinnati Reds will wear a Kroger patch and the Houston Astros will go with Oxy Energy, though the teams have not yet confirmed this.
