MJF doesn’t like many people in the professional wrestling world, but Baron Corbin of WWE is one person he at least respects. The AEW star commented on why they like each other, saying, “The Corbster is a fantastic man,” since the two men had previously communicated over social media.
If you don’t watch every available product, you can’t be the best version of yourself and won’t earn the most money, he said. “I just think mutual respect,” he added.
“Corbin is a guy who gets it. He watched my product, he saw me, I watched his product, I saw him, and we both said, ‘Yep, that guy gets it.'”
MJF and Corbin working together definitely fits the bill for fan-wanted interactions between WWE and AEW performers. It might become a possibility given that MJF frequently suggests that he is willing to taking any job in 2024 that comes his way.
He said, “I know one day, somehow, myself and him will exchange a ring.”
“Who knows, I might even suggest tag. Who’s to say if that moment would arrive soon or soon after?”
Although fans may not always scream Corbin’s praises for his five-star performances inside the ring, MJF thinks “he’s another guy who was extremely undervalued for what he was able to achieve bell to bell.” The AEW star believes that “it’s gone by the wayside too, and people are fully aware of what he’s capable of” despite this.
