A young man who was devastated by the death of his sister, wanted to get some air and a moment to collect his thoughts as he rides his bike around his neighborhood.
Once he didn’t come back at a reasonable time, his parent went to go look for him, only to find him dead, not too far from their home.

On what was supposed to be his sister’s 18th birthday, Jonathan Hernandez let his parents know he had to get his thoughts together as he chose to take a ride around their Ventura, California neighborhood on his mountain bike.
As reported by KTLA, the couldn’t accept that he lost his 14-year-old sister to cancer last October, and had to take some time to mourn the pain of this loss, after a balloon ceremony in remembrance of her on her birthday that evening.
Jonathan was not even three minutes away from his home, when he was hit by a white tow truck. He would have survived that accidental vehicular assault, had the driver not fled the scene, leaving the teen in the street and vulnerable to the next stranger who came upon him. What the second driver did was the final nail in his coffin.
As Jonathan lay badly injured and struggling in the street, surveillance video captured a silver car on the scene. That vehicle allegedly mowed down the teen’s body a second time, as followup to the first hit and run, ending just the same — by the driver taking off without stopping to see if the young stranger was okay.
