It takes 365 days to recruit high school football players. So, it is not surprising that several well-known prospects made verbal promises during March Madness.

Jadyn Davis, a five-star quarterback, verbally committed to Michigan on March 31. Just a few weeks had passed since his official visit to Ann Arbor when the announcement was made. The fourth-ranked quarterback prospect in the Class of 2024 is Davis, a Charlotte, North Carolina, native. Jordan Marshall, a 4-star running back from Michigan, joined the Class of 2024. Ohio State, who was also recruiting Ohio’s No. 3 prospects, lost to the Wolverines.
One more elite tight end On March 30, Duce Robinson gave the USC Trojans 2023 class a verbal commitment. The Phoenix, Arizona prospect is the top-ranked tight end in the US and the top Arizona prospect in his division. Despite early projections that Robinson will enroll at USC Tennessee also landed a quarterback in its 2024 draft class. Four-star signal caller Jake Merklinger made a verbal commitment to the Vols on March 30. Merklinger, from Savannah, Georgia, is the No. 5 quarterback in the class of 2024 and No. 9 overall in his home state of Georgia.
