A bond shared between brothers is both unique and irreplaceable. When you can share your excitement with your brother or sister, it multiplies. Amber and Autum, twin sisters, had a lot to celebrate…
Autum Shaw and Amber Tramontana, twin sisters, have done everything together since they were children. The sisters have an unshakable bond that they have strengthened as they have grown older.
The sisters made headlines when they both gave birth at the same time. Both sisters gave birth to healthy baby daughters 90 minutes apart on October 29th, 2020, which was also their 33rd birthday!
The sisters were both admitted to Knoxville’s Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. The same doctor, Dr. George Vick, delivered both Charleston and Blakely.
Charleston weighed a robust 9 pounds, 4 ounces, and Blakely weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. The hospital where the infants were born did not take the significant coincidence lightly and announced it on social media.
They captioned a photo of the twin sisters hugging their babies of joy, “Double the sweetness and double the love!” This week at Fort Sanders Regional, identical twins Autum and Amber gave birth to their newborn girls, Charleston and Blakely, within 90 minutes of each other.
Amber and Autum both had sons who were born ten weeks apart in 2018. Despite the fact that their sons were born with a gap, the boys were similar in weight and length.
Autum had a miscarriage while trying for her second child. She was devastated, but she now believes God had a plan. She became pregnant again soon after her miscarriage. Just a few weeks into their pregnancies, the sisters discovered they were expecting and discovered they had the same due date!
“After our miscarriage, we struggled with ‘Why did we have to go through this?’” says Autum, “But we knew that God had a plan for us,” she adds. Amber shared how she prayed for twins and now thinks God still gave her a better way for her baby to have a companion.
“They took to one another like they’d already spent nine months in the womb together,” she said.
The twins are ecstatic that their daughters have one another. They believe Charleston and Blakely will share a bond similar to the ones shared by their moms.
“It’s the birthday present that keeps getting sweeter,” said Amber.
Autum went into labor first when the twins gave birth to their kids in 2018. Everyone expected the same thing to happen this time, but Amber was the first to go into labor.
In adjacent rooms, the sisters gave birth. The babies bonded instantaneously, according to Autum.
