Ukraine Banksy murals are constantly guarded in war-torn cities as thieves try to steal the art

One of the symbols of solidarity for the struggling nation of Ukraine was the mysterious street artist’s paintings that first appeared in Ukrainian cities in the autumn of last year. Authorities launched an operation to protect the artwork in December after an attempt was made to take one of the paintings.

Ajax Systems of Ukraine was charged with providing a solution for safeguarding construction projects in the Kyiv area. The Kyiv regional military administration and local government took the initiative to develop the project.At Borodyanka, Irpin, and Horenka, four Banksy murals have Ajax wireless security systems installed. They make sure the items are shielded from potential weather damage and vandalism.

According to a representative for Ajax Systems, objects are always being watched over by the Sheriff security firm. Any attempts at theft or damage will be immediately stopped by the fast security crew. Until they are transferred to the museum, the paintings will be guarded. The artwork of Banksy serves as a cultural and historical reminder that light will triumph over darkness for the nation.
