Use the Wear OS Update Trick to instantly download the March Pixel Watch update

Although without an early announcement from Google, we have been aware of the Pixel Watch March update for a few weeks now. The March update was finally here, the version number we had was accurate, and it came with a huge list of improvements, they later verified this week.

I suppose that after reading the list of everything new, you wanted to upgrade as soon as you could. After all, Google has been releasing updates for the Pixel much later than usual at this point in March.

If you attempted to check for the update over the previous several days and were informed that your Pixel Watch was current, consider this a warning.

Reminder that you can still force through an update with our favorite old Wear OS tapping trick. I just fired up my Pixel Watch, added enough battery to it, and then ran through the trick to pull the update. The update is absolutely live at the moment.

The new Pixel Watch update rolling out as build RWDA.230114.008.R1 (with March security patch) can be pulled to your watch by doing the following:Tap the Settings icon by sliding down the quick settings menu from the watch’s top.

At “System,” scroll all the way to the bottom, and then tap it.

Choose “System updates.”

Start tapping on the watch symbol at the top of the screen if there are no updates available.

Go on tapping. Go on tapping. Continue tapping.

It should appear and begin downloading Boom if an update is available.

Enjoy the updated clock when the watch is off, the ability to modify the AOD by turning the crown, enhanced touch sensitivity, and an upcoming fix for alarms that aren’t going off on time.
