Verizon Provides Information on the Google Pixel Upgrade for April

Google skipped the usual release date for its monthly Pixel update for the second month in a row. We are left searching elsewhere for information on why an update is missing or what the update might contain when it is issued because a delay prevents Google from providing any information. Verizon has thankfully revealed information about the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and Pixel 5.

Normally, Google releases these updates on the first Monday of each month, but in March, when it released its significant quarterly update, they were released a full week later. They are now missing the first Monday of April once more and have kept us in the dark on the reason why Pixel owners are still using the previous month’s build.

Earlier today, Verizon published for the earliest Pixel phones currently receiving updates, Verizon published build numbers and information for the April Pixel upgrade this morning. They informed us that build TQ2A.230405.003 will be available for the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and Pixel 5, and that it should have begun rolling out on April 3 already. The Pixel 5a will probably follow them.

For the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, or Pixel 7 Pro, they have not yet supplied information.
