While working her regular shift busing tables at a diner in New Jersey, a pregnant waitress ran into a police officer who wasn’t a regular patron. When he left, she discovered a heartfelt note on the table as well as a $100 tip.
People’s lives can change for the better when they receive kindness and appreciation from a total stranger, especially when they need a little boost to keep going.
Unknown to her but who ended up making a lasting impression on her, a pregnant woman was fortunate to receive her fair share of encouragement.
SUPPORTIVE WORK COLLEAGUES
Courtney English worked as a waitress at Lamp Post Diner in Clementon, New Jersey. She had been doing the job for nearly two years, with a few breaks in between.
While she had grown accustomed to being on her toes all the time, she had been feeling a little lethargic lately. English was pregnant with a baby due April 1, 2019, making work a little tiresome than usual.
Luckily, the mom-to-be had fantastic co-workers who ensured she didn’t lift heavy trays. They had even given her sections close to the kitchen, so she didn’t have to walk a lot while carrying heavy platters. She also had supportive bosses.
