Family-friendly activities as Dog’s Day Out returns to East Cork

It looks like it will be a fun day out with training sessions, puppy play areas, Doga (dog yoga), and food vendors for both people and dogs. This April, A Dog’s Day Out will return to the grounds of the Ballymaloe Farm, providing entertainment and refreshments for the entire family, including our four-legged companions. It looks like it will be a fun day out with training sessions, demonstrations, puppy play areas, Doga (dog yoga), and food vendors for both people and dogs.

The Ballymaloe May Fair hosted the first-ever Dog’s Day Out last year. Nonetheless, it was such a hit that they decided to work with Top Barkz Cork to organize it once more as a stand-alone event, drawing attendees from all across Munster and beyond.

It’s going to be an action-packed day from beginning to end, according to Esther Ring, founder of Top Barkz Cork. We have a fantastic schedule of speakers, including Catherine Griffin from Smell and Snout and the K9 Clinic.

“We’ll also have dog training and dog sport demonstrations with a host of visiting groups, including Hounds and Helis, and Dogsercise. I am particularly excited about the Munster Lowlands Search and Rescue demonstration, and Doga promises to be a lot of fun – this is yoga with your dog in the Walled Garden.”

Festival Manager of The Grainstore, Bree Allen, said it’s “a celebration of our beloved canine friends and all the happiness they bring to our lives. We ran the inaugural event at Ballymaloe May Fair last year, and it was such a popular feature of the festival that we decided to turn it into a separate event.
